Modelling, animation, texturing and compositing: Jason Loader

I worked with Jason during the last 10 days of this project and was responsible for finalising texturing and rendering using Vray for Cinema 4D.

This is a tv commercial of RSM fertilizer. Because of a season (it was late autumn when we started production) we had to do almost all the shots CG. Farmer shots were shot with Red Epic on greenscreen. Tracked in Syntheyes. Field, corn, sprayer and truck shots were all done in Cinema4D and rendered with VrayForC4D. Corn growth was simulated in Xfrog for C4D. Drop shots were rendered in Vray/3dsMax and simulated in RealFlow.

We did a step forward integrating 3d scenes, not on photo, on real footage.

Das Fraunhofer Institut für Produktions-technologie beauftragte uns, einen Lehrfilm über das Herstellungsverfahren für Malaria Vaccine zu erstellen. Der Ablauf dieses Verfahrens ist tatsächlich hochinteressant:

Innerhalb von 7 Wochen werden die Pflanzen gesät, gepäppelt und verhätschelt – um dann schliessendlich im Ernter zerhäckselt zu werden. All das findet voll automatisiert statt.

Die Produktion dieses Films, angefangen von der redaktionellen Aufbereitung des Themas, über Optimierung der CAD-Daten bis hin zu Ausgabe und Postproduktion, hat 12 Wochen gedauert.

Da das Verfahren zur Zeit patentiert wird, wird es wohl noch ein paar Monate dauern, bevor wir den knapp 7-minütigen Film zeigen können. Bis dahin verkürzen wir uns die Zeit mit einigen Ausschnitten des Films
